You get what you pay for

Browns owner Jimmy Haslam gets a check for more than $200 million in TV revenue every year, like every one of the 32 NFL owners. With the salary cap well south of that, it's almost impossible for Haslam or any other NFL owner to lose money.

So, Haslam extended an olive branch to his loyal, downtrodden fan base on Wednesday by announcing a reduction in Browns season-ticket prices for 2017.

Hopefully, that's not a reflection on what he expects on the field, relative to 2016, when fans paid a premium for a 1-15 record.
