Pro Football Hall of Famer Sid Gillman had the most success in the NFL among former Buckeyes.
Gillman went 123-103-7 in a long career in the AFL. He earned his spot in Canton via innovations that branded him the father of the forward pass in professional football.
Former Michigan coach Gary Moeller, who played at OSU, went 4-3 with the Detroit Lions in 2000 when he subbed for Bobby Ross after his surprise mid-season resignation.
Moeller figured to continue with the Lions into 2001, but that's when Detroit hired Matt Millen as General Manager and he opted to fire Moeller and hire Marty Mornhinwheg.
He won one more game (5-27) in two years with the Lions than Moeller won in half a season.
Dick LeBeau, another Hall of Famer, won just 12 games in 3 years as head coach of the Bengals. LeBeau, who made the Hall off his career as an NFL defensive back, won't be back in Tennessee as the Titans defensive coordinator now that Vrabel has taken over.
He has been coaching just seven years since retiring from the New England Patriots, including just one season as the defensive coordinator in Houston, where the Texans gave up more points than any team in the league in 2017.
