A Warped Tour Documentary Is In The Works

The Vans Warped Tour has one more go around this summer before they close up shop!

Not only is this year the final Warped Tour, but next spring is the travelling festival's 25th anniversary...and there are big plans to commemorate it all.

How so? With a special 4-part documentary series!

Not only will the series document a lot of goings-on with this year's upcoming run, it will also go back to the very beginning and celebrate the fest's history as well!

It looks like they plan on interviewing some of the biggest bands to ever take the stage for this as well!

Check out what director Djay Brawner has to say about the doc:

"The documentary that we’re putting together is really about the legacy of the tour. Of course, this year being the final year it’s important for us to capture moments from the culmination, but what we’re really trying to put together is a story about how the tour started and grew over the last 24 years, with all of it culminating with the final day and what that means for this team of people, the future of the brand and everything in between.

“So what we’re really trying to put together is something where we celebrate the faces of the tour, artists like Blink-182, Limp Bizkit, No Doubt, Fall Out Boy, Katy Perry, Taking Back Sunday—the list goes on and on. Getting all of them to tell us their story of Warped, and also all the people who have been involved in it from other angles, like the [longtime sponsor] Vans team, the various sponsors, the music managers and publicists of all the tour over the years.”

I love this idea! Can't wait to check out the series, and I hope they are able to score interviews with the artists mentioned above!
