Aaron Carter Finally Explains Why He Got That Huge Face Tattoo

WE tv Celebrates The 100th Episode Of The "Marriage Boot Camp" Reality Stars Franchise And The Premiere Of "Marriage Boot Camp Family Edition"

Aaron Carter has an interesting explanation for the massive tattoo on his face.

Earlier this week, the 31-year-old singer tagged his mom, Jane Carter, along with him at an event celebrating the 100th episode of WE tv’s Marriage Boot Camp, as the mother-son duo are set to appear on the show’s upcoming Family Edition season.

As Jane tells it, their participation on the show comes after years of having grown estranged from her son amid ongoing family drama. "We weren't really talking that much. We talked a little bit, but we didn't really know each other anymore," she told Entertainment Tonight. "This helped us to get to know each other again, and it was wonderful."

The reconciliation comes weeks after the "Sooner or Later" vocalist made headlines after he debuted a huge face tattoo of the ancient Greek figure Medusa, whom he claims is symbolic of his mother and the inspiration behind the new ink. “Medusa is my protector,” he explained. “If you want to come at me with some negativity, my Medusa will stare you in the eye and turn you into stone.”

While things have seemingly gotten better between Aaron and Jane since the pair’s emotional appearance on The Doctors last month, it’s unclear whether Aaron has made amends with older brother Nick, who recently filed a temporary restraining order against him after Aaron allegedly threatened to harm Nick's wife and then-unborn daughter.

Speaking on Aaron’s behalf, Jane assured, "Aaron loves his family very much, and that's where his heart is at."
