YUNGBLUD Gives Empowering Speech To Kids Affected By Bullying

YUNGBLUD is out here again giving the youth of the world some incredible advice.

On Sunday (February 2), the “original me” singer took to his instagram to post an empowering and uplifting message to any of his followers who find themselves being bullied for the way they look.

“I was speaking to one of my close mates’ younger siblings the other day, and they were talking about how they were getting the piss taken out of them at school because they were wearing makeup and kind of dressing a bit extravagantly,” he said.

He then shared an anecdote about a time he was made fun of for having painted nails in primary school and how it made him feel “insignificant and scared.”

As we all know, despite being bullied as a kid, YUNGBLUD has not strayed from being his authentic self and wants to make sure his fans know they don't have to change because they're being bullied by others.

“I just want to reiterate the fact that if you are out there and you’re getting the piss taken out of you for the way you look, but you feel like you look incredible, chances are you probably look amazing but everyone else just doesn’t know it yet,” he said. “They’re gonna try and shame you or pick on you because they’re jealous of the confidence you have to be yourself. So if you’re out there and feeling that way, I’m sending all my love and just reiterating the fact that you look amazing — they just don’t know it yet.”

Well said, YUNGBLUD!

“Wow thank you I needed this,” one fan commented. “Thank you for giving me the courage to be myself and express myself in the way I want to, I don’t think I would’ve had the confidence to do any of it without you,” another fan told the singer.

It's no secret the singer has a close relationship with his fans and has recently revealed his upcoming album is inspired by them.

If you want to hear his frequent uplifting messages IRL, he'll be traversing North America on 'The Underrated Youth Tour' later this year.
