The "Oregon City Sessions" is something of lore for hardcore Portugal. The Man fans. The project began when the band returned home from tour at the end of 2008, after a prolific two years that saw them release three full-length albums, an EP, a handful of singles, and perform nearly 500 shows. Instead of taking a well-deserved break, they decided to go into the studio and film their setlist one time through, with no retakes or overdubs. A few weeks later, they recorded The Satanic Satanist and shelved the "Oregon City Sessions." Now, more than a decade later, they're not only releasing it, but also hosting a "backstage hangout" and Q&A co-viewing party for their most devoted fans.
The "Oregon City Sessions" stream will premiere on Friday (February 26) at 6pm PT on PTM's YouTube and Twitch channels; however, PTM Coin holders will be able to hangout with the band on its Discord server.
“The band is gonna get together and join the livestream at the very beginning to introduce the film but then we are going to sequester ourselves to a channel on our Discord server that is reserved for Coin Holders. We will hang out the length of the stream, answer questions and plan to have quite a good time making fun of ourselves,” bassist Zach Carothers said in a statement.
PTM unveiled its own cryptocurrency last month, which drove more than 111,000 in total transaction volume and more than $1000 in fan-to-fan transactions during its first week. Learn more about PTM Coin here.
