Ohio Hospital Crowned 'Best In State' For 2025

Access to quality health care is not something you want to take for granted when it comes to any medical concerns you may have for yourself or a loved one. Fortunately there are several top-notch hospitals around the state to ensure you won't be forced to drive hours away to receive treatment, including one medical facility named the best hospital in all of Ohio.

Newsweek recently partnered with Statista to compile a list of the "best-in-state" hospitals for 2025, which recognized 700 leading hospitals around the country based on factors like quality and patient experience. According to the rankings, the best hospital in Ohio for 2025 is Cleveland Clinic.

Ohio State University - Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic - Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, Cleveland Clinic - Akron General, Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Cleveland Clinic - Avon Hospital, Cleveland Clinic - Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, UH Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, ProMedica Toledo Hospital, MetroHealth Medical Center - Main Campus in Cleveland, Kettering Health Miamisburg, University of Toledo Medical Center, Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Memorial Hospital in Marysville, UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, UH Parma Medical Center in Parma, Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Summa Health System in Akron, The Jewish Hospital - Mercy Health in Cincinnati and Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater also rank among the best hospitals Ohio has to offer.

Here's how Newsweek describes compiling a list of the best hospitals around the country:

"This year's rankings include facilities in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The rankings were compiled using quality metrics from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the AHA Annual Survey of Hospitals Database, a nationwide online survey among medical professionals, results from HCAHPS patient experience surveys and a voluntary PROMs (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures) implementation survey."
