Hundreds of citizens attended an Atlanta City Hall meeting on Monday, in protest of the electronic scooters that are scattered all over our metro. The meeting was called with Mayor Keisha Kance Bottoms and various city officials after complaints, injuries and e-scooter-related deaths have mounted over the last few months. Atlanta's scooter related death toll is 4, since May. Earlier this month, Bottoms called for scooter regulation banning use of the machines after 9pm and prohibiting the scooters from sidewalks. The city is considering further regulations that would limit the number of scooters and how to create protected bike lanes with temporary barriers.
