Queens Of The Stone Age Say "Guitars Are Going Extinct!"

Come August 25th, Queens Of The Stone age share their new album "Villians" with the world, however today they're making a little bit of a splash due to a statement they made!

Have guitars gone "extinct?"

That's what they're saying!

In a new interview with The Spinoffdrummer Jon Theodore made this bold claim.

Here's what he said:

“It’s like guitars are going extinct in a lot of ways. Now it’s punk to learn upright bass or classical guitar….It’s a new world right now, and sometimes I feel like a dinosaur but most of the time I’m just grateful that we got started before this transition started – I mean we’re still firmly rooted in the world of guitar.”

Hmm...I mean I do get it. A lot of the "rock" bands have a different lean on the sound, but there are still bands who really do rock out!

Do you think they have a point here?
