Pineapples Banned From Reading And Leeds Because Of Glass Animals

Every music festival puts out a list of things that are prohibited from the fest. We've all seen them before, right?

Well, Reading and Leeds music festivals (in the UK) have added something pretty interesting to the list of banned items: pineapples. Why? Because of the band Glass Animals.

Why does that band draw that particular fruit? Well, their song "Pork Soda" includes the lyric "pineapples are in my head." Because of said lyric, the band's fans bring the fruit to their shows and dress like the fruit too! It was so bad at Glastonbury Fest that the stage was covered with pineapples!

To avoid such a mess a spokesman for the fest says:

“Organisers were a little concerned about hundreds of pineapples turning up on site so decided to ask fans not to bring them along. The tongue may be slightly in cheek on this one.”
