It's hard to believe it, but a whole year has gone by since we heard the dreaded words: Chris Cornell has passed away.
It's been a year since the loss of that incredible voice that was so important to alternative music.
Now exactly a year later, some of Chris's closest friends are paying tribute to him.
Chris's wife is holding a public vigil tonight in LA at 7p, and a bunch of his former bandmates have taken to social media to send notes of love.
Take a look:
“@chriscornell was the greatest songwriter to ever come out of Seattle.,…he had a way that he could wrap a melody around odd time signatures and weird parts and make them catchy. And he was a beautiful wordsmith.” - Jeff Ament pic.twitter.com/xXWM94QBfG— Temple of the Dog (@templeofthedog) May 15, 2018
Chris is gone, but certainly never forgotten.
