The Fest Formerly Known As Harry Potter Festival Unveils New Name

Attention Harry Potter fans: not all is lost! Every year Potter fans flock to the Chestnut Hill section of Philly for the fest FORMERLY known as the Harry Potter Festival.

A few weeks back it was reported that the festival may not continue, as Warner Brothers has demanded that these festivals not use Harry's name...or any other major characters for that matter.

So what was to come of our beloved festival? Well, it lives on with a new name!

The new less specific name of the fest? Wands And Wizards!

"Formerly the Harry Potter Festival, the new-for-2018 Wands & Wizards takes over the charming town for spellbinding events that morph the neighborhood into an enchanting magic-filled haunt."

Though there's no date for 2018 set just yet (it normally takes place in October) it definitely is still on under that name and will definitely have some other changes to keep it legal.

Let's hope that even though they have to be more careful on trademarks, they don't completely get rid of some of the fun events such as the Quidditch Tournament or the Sorting Hat demonstration. They may just have to use some other names for these things!
