Former Phillie Jayson Werth Announces Retirement

After a great career in baseball, Jayson Werth, has decided to call it quits.

Werth has had many great accomplishments in his time, but the one we know him best for (and the one he's probably most proud of) is helping the Philadelphia Phillies to victory in the 2008 World Series.

After more than a decade playing the sport he just announced that he will be retiring from the sport, stepping away from his latest team the Tacoma Rainiers.

His official statement: “I’m done … whatever you want to call it."

We will never forget how integral Jayson was to our World Series win, and wish him the best of luck in all future endeavors.
