Dave Grohl Plays Nirvana's "In Bloom" With Trombone Shorty

Before being the Foo Fighters frontman he is today, Dave Grohl was the drummer for Nirvana, though you won't often see him play their songs.

This weekend, however, Dave made an exception and it was so good!

Before this weekend, Grohl hadn't played any full Nirvana original songs since 2014's Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony and before that he hadn't played the songs in 20 years! But this past weekend changed that when he teamed up with New Orleans jazz collective Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue to take on Nirvana classic "In Bloom."

The performance was a surprise during Trombone's set at Los Angeles’ Voodoo Threauxdown Festival, and it's a really cool instrumental version with (of course) horns.
