Our favorite cartoon band is hitting the big screen!
Yes, it's just been announced that The Gorillaz will be the subject of a new documentary film called Reject False Icons! It is directed by Denholm Hewlett, the son of Gorillaz co-founder Jamie Hewlett, and details the band's last 3 years. This includes the making of their last two albums, 2017's "Humanz" and 2018's "The Now Now," as well as the band's world tour.
“The result is the first ever all-access immersive journey into the world of Gorillaz and its extended family – featuring never-seen footage, where the virtual meets the real,” according to a press release.
Sounds pretty sweet, right? The movie will screen in theaters for one night only on December 16th. Check out the movie's poster below, and grab yourself some tickets HERE!
