You know how Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam's frontman, loves a good bottle of wine. He usually walks on stage with a bottle and a notebook every night. In a not so surprising move, Pearl Jam released their own limited edition red wine....which immediately sold out in a record-breaking 12 minutes.
They only did 450 boxes (four bottles a box) and each box was priced at $150. The bottles came branded with a Pearl Jam graphic marked for Seattle, Chicago, Boston, and Missoula, Montana – the four destinations on Pearl Jam’s upcoming Home X Away tour.
Proceeds from the limited edition win went to Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation, which offers funds to nonprofits helping community health, the environment and its local arts and culture scenes. The wine raised a total of $67,500.
